Karl Kemp and Larry Howard Obituary, Death – Two Killed in Neosho Plane Crash Near Camp Crowder

NEOSHO, Mo. — Two people have died following a plane crash near the Camp Crowder area of Neosho, Missouri, with authorities now identifying the victims as investigators work to determine what caused the fatal incident.

The Newton County Coroner identified the deceased as Karl Kemp, 72, of Neosho, and Larry Howard, 42, of Granby.

According to the coroner, Kemp was operating the Zenith CH-701 aircraft when it crashed near the Camp Crowder area. Howard was aboard the aircraft as a passenger.

Emergency responders were called to the crash site following the incident, where both occupants were found deceased.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has taken part in the investigation into the crash. Officials have not yet released details explaining why the aircraft went down or whether mechanical problems, weather conditions, pilot-related factors or other circumstances contributed to the accident.

Investigators are expected to examine the aircraft, the crash site and other available evidence as they work to establish the sequence of events leading up to the collision.

The deaths of Kemp and Howard have left their families and communities mourning as the investigation continues. Further information is expected to be released as authorities complete their examination of the fatal Neosho plane crash.
